1. How soon can I expect a response from The Home Doctor ? CALL TODAY.… WE ALWAYS ANSWER THE PHONE !! You will get to Meet and Speak to Adam personally about your project plans and within 24 to 48 hours. You will ALWAYS receive a Personal Response to discuss your project plans and how to schedule the project accordingly. 2. Are you a Family owned business or a franchise ? We are and have always been 100% Family owned !! We built our business and our reputation 1 client at a time and Every customer and project receives 100 % focus and personal attention from Adam and the rest of our highly skilled Home Doctor Staff. 3. Do we give Free Estimates? We Always have and We Always Will !! We have given free estimates to our customers for the last 50 years. We are very experienced where we can usually estimate a project over the phone very accurately. 4. How do you price your jobs ? The Home Doctor is Smart and High Tech !! We typically send our technicians out on an hourly rate of $85.00 per hour for smaller “Repair” projects and we provide full estimates for larger “Renovation” and “Addition” projects. We use Multiple Computer software Databases and we Cross Reference current economic trends and conditions. Most contractors we use “Rules of Thumb” and We don’t and we never have Played the game of “Pin the price on the Project.” 5. What is our coverage area? We travel to Accommodate our Client’s Needs !! We are located in Quincy, Massachusetts and will travel within a 50 mile radius. There are exceptions so feel free to call. We are licensed in multiple States and it is not uncommon for us to travel beyond our service area by special request. 6. Is The Home Doctor Licensed, Registered and Insured? Yes, we Are !! The Home Doctor is Licensed and Insured to do any and all work that we perform. We are also Registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractors. (Registration # 128364) |
7. Does the Home Doctor do “Handy-man” work ? Yes, we do..... But We are a Full Service Residential Repair, Renovation, Restoration and Construction Company !! This type of work is billed per hour, and requires a three (3) hour minimum. You will have a Qualified Technician Arrive at your door, Ready to Work and 100% at your service: $85 per hour for a Carpenter and $95 per hour for a Plumber / Electrician and/or specialty tradesman. PLEASE SEE OUR “GOOD SERVICE” LINK 8. What is the Difference between a “Renovation” Project and a “Repair” Project ? Usually a “Quick-Fix” or an Emergency Repair !! A Renovation Project is anything requiring a Building Permit. Everything else is considered a Repair Project. 9. What Type of Project Requires a Building Permit and what does Not ? Technically….Everything Requires a Permit !! Siding, Windows, Decks, Additions, Interior Renovations, and all Electrical and Plumbing requires a Permit. Interior/Exterior Painting, Cosmetic Repairs, Tiling, Light Carpentry related to Cosmetic Repairs does not necessarily require a Building Permit. 10. What if I am not sure about my project? We are Here to Help you in Any way Possible !! Give us a call and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Think of us as a “friend in the business”. 11. What if my project is a Larger Investment than expected ? Not a problem !! We can do the project in phases and financing is Offered Through an outside Source. It is un-ethical for a Contractor to Offer Financing. 12. What type of payment does The Home Doctor Accept? We always try to accommodate our customer’s needs !! We accept Cash, Check, Money Orders, and Bank Checks. |
